My earliest memories of photography came with reading Life magazine and seeing the photojournalism photos of the era and being captivated by the story telling, powerful emotions and inspiration that one photo can evoke.
I participate at many Bay Area pet festivals displaying the portrait sessions I have done and meeting all the wonderful dogs and their caretakers. Among the pet festivals are Dog Days of Hollister, Bay to Barkers in Berkeley, Bark in the Park and the Bay Area Pet Expo in San Jose and Woof to Woof in Scotts Valley. The pet festivals are designed around having fun for the dogs and raise awareness of responsible pet ownership. The proceeds of the festivals go to pet organizations helping animals around the Bay Area.
Every November I take inventory of old blankets, towels, along with left over pet festival biscuits, dog bowls, pet toys etc. and I donate to the local animal care center as a way of helping the animals in their temporary homes.
In addition to photography, my passions are movies, spontaneous road trips, reading autobiographies, catching up with friends over a good cup of coffee, going to the beach during winter and being around nature’s wonderful animals that continuously inspire my passion for pet photography.
